I'm looking at clear film for my GT2RS and I don't think you can put it on the CF hood. Anybody know for sure if you can't use clear film? I'd hate to ding up that hood.

Pretty sure you can cover it. There is actually a GT2 RS paint protection thread here:

Great thread thanks. The owners manual for my 599 GTO specifically says not to use protective film or any type of wax on the CF. Looks like the P-car is OK.

BBrurbo. My uncle is using a satin type clear film on his GTO with no problem. It was Aldo recommended by the dealer and our Guy has done the clear film on the dry carbon fiber with no problem.

I member did clear on all the cf parts on his GT2RS and it really made them look great. I think it was Savyboy. There are pics someplace of the job he did.

Yes I bought it. The car showed up at the dealer and he called and told me I spec'd it out, so I should get a look at it before he sold it. When I got there he said it was mine if I wanted it. I was surprised. I knew he had people in line. But my wife told him that she wanted him to give me right of first refusal when it showed up (my wife loves me), so he had kept me first on the list. (My dealer loves me too). Anyway, the car was spectacular. Just the way I pictured when I ordered it. So many nice details that don't show up on photo's. I couldn't walk away. I'll deal with the GT3RS LE when it's finally released.
