First GT2 RS for sale on eBay
#221
It matters if you are concerned with the exclusivity of the car, which was something that you expressed in this thread a few posts back...
And you expressed earlier that you felt the GT2 RS is over priced yet you are defending the 458 which you yourself said sells for 20k over sticker....
Am I missing anything?

h20skier, you're being too nice. Considering this guy seems to put down everything with a Porsche badge on it we can all presume exactly what kinds of reviews he will put up; more inflammatory posts created to incite passion (albeit near hatred) for anything he posts as he rants on about production numbers and the size of turbos used by Porsche when he doesn't realize they are to begin with.
You better come back with a post that is better than Chris Harris considering you talk as if you know more than him or anyone else on this board for that matter.
What's that expression? Oh yeah, walking into a gunfight with a knife. I mean honestly, what did 1 bajillion rpm expect when he posts stuff like this under a thread devoted to ONE SINGLE 2 RS on ebay. Wasn't there an Enzo on Ebay at one point? God forbid the greatest car of 2003 (the Enzo) be put on ebay and sully its reputation for supposedly belonging only in the legit supercar status yet going up for sale online and ending up in the highest bidders garage. Since that's so unheard of in 2011.
No one should get so caught up talking trash about other cars, people, etc. All you do is end up having your foot in your mouth, not knowing what the F you're talking about, and generally p****in off an overall great group of automotive enthusiasts. 1 bajillion rpm, posting up comments like you do actually hinders the number and participation of such amazing board members if they see asshats like you criticizing people for posting up pictures of their own cars, experiences, beliefs, and opinions.

I don't want interweb spew.
I want driving impressions.
I also don't want to hear about 458 availability. They are everywhere. And GEE I hope one day to buy a new Ferrari myself but I'll leave this up to you ballers. So I won't call my local Fcar dealer and ask just yet.

Yes, I work a night shift sometimes, so what? I'm not entitled to an opinion? You don't know what I do, why you putting me down for it. What if I am trading currencies and stocks on the Japanese market and making millions in the process?

That's great that you have a paying job. Almost everyone on these boards does as well, and that's how we all enjoy the things we do.
The problem arrives when you move away from making comments or discussion about a car or cars in general, whether that be one or many or a whole manufacturer's line. But the point in having a constructive conversation, and albeit an informative debate, is by recognizing and giving respect where it is due. Making off-hand remarks about people getting their "ego's stroked" or whatnot because of the cars they drive is simply untrue and ignorant. If it does appear some members get more props, "rep" or whatever that may be, or any respect from other members it is because they gave it first and openly share their own toys and experience without prejudice.
If you plan on making an argument about anything, then you need to start off with having your facts checked properly before you spew random internet facts all over the page acting like it passes for legitimate information. Not saying you in fact have done this, but be ready for the onslaught and backlash when you do post something like that on these boards. Anyone can google random information these days. But not everyone is as cool and collected as the majority of this board; hence some of these combative remarks. The point of forums like these is to promote healthy discussion of automobiles or anything that makes you passionate, but the point at which you begin to attack not the car companies but the people who own them is the brink at which you may begin to feel more than a tad unwelcome. By being a bit more open about your own experience and a little less standoff-ish you may one day realize not every thread goes to 23+ pages solely for debating which car someone thinks is more exclusive.
You are entitled to an opinion just like everyone else, but the opinions you seemed to have expressed thus far lead me to believe you may be just another person looking to piss off everyone else. If that's the case, you know where the door is (or should I say logout button). But in the case that you would like to have some positive, respectful discussions without crass remarks towards others I am sure there's enough room for you to have your own way and get by without being harassed like this.
