My original point did not come across correctly - I think the RS is a good car, but the TIMING of the deliveries for those that took them was poor. Personally I know that when I spend that kind of money I need to be fully informed of all the possible alternatives, otherwise there is a risk (like what happened here) that I may get blindsided by a better product.

For example, if I had bought my 458 last week I would be pretty disturbed, unless I am just some kind of ferrari (or porsche) sycophant.
Piss up a rope, sycophant, really? What the f? Or Canadian?

It's absolutely mandatory. Once you claim a vehicle as yours, you are pretty much required to post pics to prove your bona fides. All enthusiast forums operate with this same basic rule which you should know, unless today is your first day on the interwebs.

What is sad about people that can afford one or more of these cars is that they sometimes do not actually know how to investigate whether they are getting what they are paying for, and will pay whatever is asked for anything with a good marketing ploy. Thankfully when competition emerges that shows you how much more can be done with the same $, a sharp spotlight is cast on the impostors.

Thats my gripe.
I can assure you that there are not many members on this forum that fall into the category you described above. This is a community of enthusiasts, not posers who simply by the latest and greatest to be flashy. I'm not implying that you're a poser in any way, shape or form, just trying to make the point that the members of this forum that would buy a GT2RS or 458 Italia bought it to drive it, and not just because it looked pretty on the brochure cover.

Porsche was brilliant with the timing, imo. Had they released it here later, they would've run the risk of losing customers to McLaren. On that same line, those who would've waited to hear the true performance figures of the MP4-12C would've missed their chance to get a GT2RS.

I just don't understand these trolls any more.

If you are going to make up a story, say you own a damn 360 like me.

Someone might just believe you.

Why does it always have to be a K'Segg or a 458 or the Space Shuttle??

If you are as committed as this guy, at least tell decent lies.

Have you ordered a GT2 RS? Do you have one? If the answer is NO to the two previous questions. Isn't that something for the existing and future owners to deal with? I don't even know why you have a gripe in something which is totally unrelated to you.

When I bought the V12 Vantage. I didn't know AM were planning to bring out the V8 "S" version with the same bumpers and side skirts as the V12, 2 years down the line. Was a I a little disturbed about that? Yes, of course, but who cares - sell it and move on if it bugs someone that much. At the end of the day they need to run a business. You are being totally unrealistic requesting that the dealer should inform you of every single new release that is coming, when it has nothing to do within their own marque.

Sit back, relax and a proper introduction will get you a far warmer welcome to the team.
