YouTube - Autocar: Porsche 998 Spy Vid

especially at 1:55 you can hear it's still the B6 engine. I don't think they develop a B8 engine for the GT cars.

That's Porsche's engine code for the current generation flat-six (F6).

If I were to dive into a new Porsche this most likely would be it. Engine forward, RSR 4.0 Engine.

Give me the RS version for Christmas please

Time to phone a friend.

Chris are you still planning on a 997.2 GT3 (sucks you can't order one anymore) or do you think you'll be able to wait for the 991?

I don't know what's going to happen. The Golf R comes out in Jan 2012. The TT-RS (for my wife) comes out in July or so (at least to order). The RS5 is still unannounced. Right now, that plan is to swap the C4S for both the TT-RS and RS5.

If the 991 sucks (unlikely), I'll look for the best 997.2 GT3 or RS I can find. If the 991 is awesome, I'll wait til that GT3 comes out then decide. I'm not in a hurry anymore since ordering is out of the question.
