1) anyone who see's it's you jamie, automatically deducts 100k from the trade in value.

2) the economy crashed right when the MkI997GT2 came out.
3) Thankfully, the GT2 didn't suffer the same sort of depreciation as the Ferrari F430's or 599's when people were paying $100k over sticker for certain variations.

And

4) its CAR. It'll depreciate. But I don't think this GT2RS will depreciate at the same rate once ppl see the 991 coming out. It's the last of a certain breed.

I will still bet a case of beer. The 997 replacement will have a gt2rs replacement down the road. Porsche has proved it too many times. Finally people are saying screw it I'll wait.

Wow 265k MSRP. Ouch.

Not everyone paid over msrp for their 430s. At any rate given one bought right at msrp, I'd say the depreciation on 430s and the GT2s are comparable. Both have depreciated roughly 56% from their msrp values. I don't see how the RS will fare any better.....especially when the next iteration of 911 is on the horizon.

2007 430 Spider:
msrp 269k/ wholesale 150k

2008 GT2:
msrp 213k/ wholesale 125k

Same depreciation rate. Sucks either way.
