Flash news before the Christmas break (we'll be back on the 10th of January)

Here are the prices for the GT3 system, with a special discount:

245801 "step-design" manifold 3245 $
245802 HJS WRC catalytic converters 3308 $
244526 Rear exhaust black tips 90mm 1552 $

Total: 8105 $

Exclusively or all the TS Members we offer the complete exhaust system, ready to install:
7200 $!!
It may seem expensive but keep in mind:
-These are the only available variable diameter headers for the GT3
-HJS Catalytic converters: the highest quality you can find on the market, durable and efficient.
-Full Stainless Steel, no chrome or paint finish on the parts, so you can see the quality of the welds, the bending etc
-Black durable finish on the tips
-Perfect fit on the standard mounts.
-VERIFIED performance increase on 3.6 and 3.8 engines, on a MAHA rolling road. All the data are available on our website, no photoshopped graphs or any other "trick".

Many people are asking me why we don't make any titanium exhaust system, or telling me that they prefer to buy a titanium system for the same money or more.

I'd like to answer to these questions with this message from Federico Gilli, our sales manager and one of the owner of the company, about our politics about material choices:

In general the competition in the sport exhausts field is numerous. There is a variety of exhaust manufacturers offering ranges which starts from cheap exhausts, made in China, to titanium, over-expensive systems.
We feel that our exhaust is second to none, in terms of performance, sound, weight compromise and easy fitment.

When fit and finish, reliability and price are thrown into the mix, Supersprint comes up on top.

We are aware that there are several titanium exhausts available in the market and we know that a few selected car owners are attracted by the exotic titanium material, and by the outstanding looks of the welds, found on some of them.
We have also seen some stainless steel exhausts advertised and sold as titanium exhausts, in an effort to win some unaware customers. This market nowadays is as crazy as ever.
Wharever the case is, we believe that the titanium material is not suited to withstand the hard life of the exhaust systems on high performance cars, as it becomes extremely weak and brittle with the high temperature that the exhaust gas easily reaches, and often surpasses.
Our idea is that this titanium movement is a temporary fad, just like the flapper valve exhaust, and others.
We have seen more in the past, which have come, and are now long gone.
This is why Supersprint will not produce a titanium exhaust line in the future, although several of our customers request us to do so. Because we could not be able to grant any kind of warranty to our customers, for the above explained reasons.

Most of our customers understand the reason behind it, and stick with our decision, promoting and selling the current Supersprint stainless steel exhaust line succesfully, while some others still insist on titanium, and go shopping somewhere else.

We surely cannot change their minds, if all they look for is profit, and do not care about long-term customer satisfaction.
This decision had been made years ago, and we haven't changed our mind since.

We have been in the market for longer than anyone (1955), we are offering our exhaust range to several of the most famous Tuners (lHamann, AC Schnitzer, Hartge, Carlsson, Tech-Art and others) and we exactly know what to expect ahead of us, in the exhaust business.

However, if there ever is a weak area in our product range, we will do our best in reacting the quickest, improving the product where needeed, develope and introduce new ones, and eliminate the problem altogether.
According to us inconel is going to be the future for the high-end cars (the price of this superb material is actually about 5 times more expensive than stainless steel).

As a proof of what we claim, inconel is the material which is nowadays used on Formula 1 cars. Titanium is not because it fails.

Supersprint has already made a few selected productions by using inconel, like, for example, the manifolds of Porsche 997 Turbo and others.

Grazie

Federico

Here's a few recent pictures (I took them a week ago) of our R&D and fitting department.

As you can see the headers fitted to the GT3 are not the step design version, as we didn't have any available at the moment (a new batch is going to be ready this week). These were the last ones with the old design, so the customer accepted to go with them for a good discount.
The alfa is the last 159 with the 1750 turbo engine.
On the M5 E39 we're developing new headers. We're testing longer 4 into 1 and 4-2-1 version that keep the same first part of the primaries for a "slip-on" fit on car that has already our headers.
The car has gone though a series of dyno tests, but we're still not sure if the present design will be changed as maybe it's still the best.
Enjoy!
