Supersprint exhaust systems for AMG cars

Supersprint exhaust systems for AMG cars
I'd like to introduce our exhaust systems for AMG cars.
Some of these products are sold by one of the most popular German Mercedes tuner with his brand but they are actually produced by Supersprint.
You can find the complete products list HERE
For non-AMG Mercedes car click HERE instead.
Let's start with the most recent engine, fitted to 63 models.
As some of you may know, this engine has an electronic throttle limiter, that's the reason why the same engine in different cars gives different outputs.
We usually don't publish results for chipped car, as we don't work on ecu remaps and the work of different tuners can result in very different power and torque figure. With the 63 amg this rule had to be bent a bit to show the real gain of our exhausts.
------------------------------------------
MERCEDES W204 C63 AMG V8 '07->
815901 - Right+Left Headers:
Aisi 304 stainless steel.
4 into 1 manifold
Separated primary pipes to remove any stress caused by thermal expansion and vibrations. Mandrel bent with as few (TIG) welds as possible for durability.
A few pictures of the last batch made:
846602 and 846622 - Right+Left front exhaust with HJS 100 CPSI sports metallic cats.
846612 - Front exhaust, without cats. Alternative to 846602-22.
846603 - Centre exhaust with x-pipe and resonator.
Raccomended for acoustic comfort, no performance loss.
846613 - Centre x-pipe. Alternative to 846603.
Lighter and louder, raccomended for track use.
846607 and 846637 - Right + Left rear exhausts.
Separated tips for perfect adjustment.
Dual 120x80mm oval tips with Supersprint engraving.
846626 and 846646 - Right + Left rear exhausts.
Separated tips for perfect adjustment.
Dual 100 mm round tips with Supersprint engraving.
This system is available as a whole kit or as a catback system for OEM headers and cats.
For the second options:
846633 - Front pipes kit R.- L. for OEM kat
The car was tested on our MAHA rolling road.
As the car was supplied by Carlsson we did different runs:
OEM (with OEM ECU):
Claimed data:
Horsepower 457 Hp @ 6800 rpm
Torque 600 Nm @ 5000 rpm
Actual data:
Horsepower 452,8 Hp @ 6640 rpm
Torque 570,6 Nm @ 4395 rpm
Supersprint mufflers (with ECU CARLSSON)->this is the same as the OEM car with just the ECU.
- Rear exhaust R. 846626
- Rear exhaust L. 846646
Actual data:
Horsepower 486,4 Hp @ 6405 rpm
Torque 579,9 Nm @ 5225 rpm
Supersprint (with ECU CARLSSON):
- Manifold R.- L. 846601
- Front metallic kat R. 846602
- Front metallic kat L. 846622
- Centre exhaust 846603
- Rear exhaust R. 846626
- Rear exhaust L. 846646
Actual data:
Horsepower 519,7 Hp @ 6715 rpm
Torque 620 Nm @ 5010 rpm
Stock (with ECU CARLSSON) Vs
Supersprint (with ECU CARLSSON)
I'm trying to get a clip of the sound and a few pictures of the car.
The rear exhausts are a perfect fit for the OEM amg Bumper, subtly different from stock and much better in quality and finish.
The sound is very muscular and racing, but with the silenced x-pipe not too loud inside for comfort.
The lighter and cheaper option, without cats and resonator, is VERY loud and nascar-like, not for shrinking violets!

Look forward to hearing some sound clips of the mufflers, with or without the headers.
One suggestion, perhaps you should also offer a rectangular tip option similar to the ones on the new AMGs. This seems to be the current direction AMG is going now...and while I didn't like them at first (always loved the classic ovals), they are starting to grow on me.

Following the C63, this the last development on amg cars:
MERCEDES W212 E 63 AMG V8 '09 –›
The owner of the car which the exhaust was developed on wanted to keep the oem rear mufflers. The car was tested and delivered in this configuration, so there's nothing to see from the outside and no pictures were taken.
This is a photoshop of how the car looks with our exhaust, it's pretty much spot on:
OEM:
Supersprint:
We offer both our rear exhausts or ad adaptor kit for the stock ones.
exhaust system MERCEDES W212 E 63 AMG V8 '09 ??, exhaust system components MERCEDES W212 E 63 AMG V8 '09 ??
The whole system is made in Aisi 304 Stainless steel, with 70 mm pipes.
847401 - 4 into 1 headers. These are the same found on the C63 with different mounting brackets. You can find more pictures on top of this thread.
846622-846602: front exhausts with HJS sports metallic cats.
These are to be fitted with our headers. The oem manifold and cat design is different and not compatible.
846612: Alternative to 846622-846622, these are straight through pipes for track use.
847403: Centre exhaust (silenced) with x-pipe.
This is compatible both with our front exhausts with or without cats and with the OEM cats.
847413: Centre pipe, alternative to 847403, without the resonator on the x-pipe. Raccomended for track use as the sound levels inside the car are a bit too much for daily use.
Pictures not available.
847437-07: Rear exhaust, with oval 120x80mm tips. Direct flow design with stainless steel and basalt wool.
The picture quality is not the best as the production item is not ready yet:
As always our focus was on performance gain.
Dyno testing data:
MERCEDES W212 E 63 AMG V8 '09 ?? dyno testing, performance exhaust systems MERCEDES W212 E AMG
OEM:
Claimed data:
Horsepower 525 Hp @ 6800 rpm
Torque 630 Nm @ 5200 rpm
Actual data:
Horsepower 464,5 Hp @ 6855 rpm
Torque 546,5 Nm @ 5260 rpm
This was a big disappointment. We thought that the throttle limiter would be set loose or removed altogether. This is not the case as you can see.
We haven't tested a chipped car yet.
Supersprint exhaust
- Manifold R.+L. 847401
- Front exhaust with metallic cat R. 846602
- Front exhaust with metallic cat L. 846622
- Centre exhaust R.+L. 847403
- OEM rear exhaust
Actual data:
Horsepower 507,4 @ 6505 rpm
Torque 610,9 @ 5225 rpm
We came very close to the claimed figures. Keep in mind that the throttle limiter is still in place and the performance gain with a ecu remap would be even higher, but we can't tell for sure how much.
Oem vs Supersprint
Both the torque and power curve are much meatier, the car revs more freely and pickup response is better.
The sound is very similar to the C63, a bit more silenced and less "racing car" with the OEM mufflers.
I'm sorry I don't have a clip, the complete exhaust was fitted and the car picked up on a saturday morning, when I wasn't at work.
I hope to make a video report on the next customer car.
A few pictures of the car in our R&D department. The white car is a E 350 CDI with the amg aero kit, we'll have a catback system for that on sale very soon
