Current CGT market and trend?
I got an offer for my CGT today that I bought 13 months ago for a decent amount over what I paid for it. I was wondering how the current CGT market is, values and where they seem to be going in the future.
I checked around on current car for sale, but anyone can ask whatever they want, and what someone asks and sells it for are usually two very different numbers.
Any advice?

If the guy is offering more than what you paid for it, than hurry up and take it. The market is pretty soft, especially on 04 CGT's with miles. Just my two cents.
Edit- The only way I see the value of the CGT rising in the future(10+ years), is if they are very low miles.

Can you give more specifics? (year, miles, colors, purchase price, offer price?)

Sean what do you consider soft for a 6-5 year old car? CGTs have held up better in value than most of the entire market. The issue isn't the value; it's what are you going go replace it with that yields that level of sex appeal and performance. I know of several ppl who regret selling their CGT.

Yeah I know a few people who regret selling the car, and a few, like my uncle, who have no plans on selling it. If this guy is being offered more than he paid for the car, and is willing to part ways with it. By all means he should go ahead.
My last two cents. Anyone who has watched the market knows that the 04's don't hold their value as well as the 05's. So in my mind, if this guy can walk away with money in his pocket, it's a no-brainer.

while I agree the 05 holds their value more (by default btw) there were technical reasons you could point to, to justify that. Once those were resolved, the cars are perfect.
The car retailed for $448+, and while a few dealers were sitting on them, make no mistake, that market auto-corrected once production ceased. The SLR was over $460++, with coupes in the mid to low $200's now. Shot, you could buy a brand new 722 roadster which had an MSRP of $550+ for about $200k off.
The CGTs on the other hand, you'd be hard pressed to find those in the 200's. Most still hover in the $300's.
STILL IN THE $300'S? Compare that to any other car that started out in the $400s, its tremendous.
And there is no comparison against the 918. Watch and learn as that car comes out.
I'm not a buyer but I've been watching the CGT market very closely. As an owner I'd ask myself some hard questions- and MOST CGT buyers regret letting theirs go only to pay MORE for another one with more miles.
