Current CGT market and trend?

People who are saying he should sell and buy another:
He might have been offered more than he paid, but he still has to replace his current example. And if the sale is the same as the replacement will be (my guess is they're close), he does not walk away with anything other than a different color.

Even if he makes 50k more than he paid which he wouldn't most states are 8-10% sales tax he'd lose most of it there
A lot less of these are on the market today. Mostly because owners want more than the market will bare but a lot of these I believe have also found permenant homes and won't be going anywhere.
Those that think the 918 will affect them don't hold your breathe. It will take 10 years for them to affect their 10 year old older brother. At $700k it's a different market and only about 30k people in the world can afford it. 1 in 30 of those people won't want one. Porsche won't sell the 1000 they want to.

people have been predicting that CGT values will sink for several years now but the car continues to hold up very well in value for very good reason which is there is nothing else in this price range with anything close to the technology that the CGT has. In addition unlike some other cars in the 300-400k price range such as the Ferrari 458, the CGT is a true limited production supercar not a regualar production model that will be mass produced and replaced in a few yrs. (full disclosure I have a low mile 05 CGT which I have offered for sale recently because I dont use it much not because I think there is any reason for prices to go down)
