Wow you guys have a strange system in the USA. In the UK and most of Europe it is very rare to buy a new Porsche off the lot. You will normally take a test drive in the dealer demonstrator then order your car with all the options you require. Then sit back and wait for you build date. The same applies to nearly all makes and models.

Maybe its a cultural thing, we are prepared to wait whilst you guys want it now

 

You're not joking. In our "Land of the Free" the "I want it now and I want it cheap" mentality is a double edged sword. However, you'll find greater levels of customer satisfaction and better warranties over in the States.

And I think you'd be SHOCKED how many dealerships (let alone Porsche dealerships) are in the US. wayy wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many. imho.
