Copyright laws are really messed up...alot of confusion...But ill just say that the original photograph you modded for this particular pchop was not "yours" to begin with so I might suspect that voids any need for them to give you credit...But i could be entirely wrong.

TEAMSPEED, my watermark, and my signature were all on the car for a reason.

Hehe, wasn't that great a sum of money (not very much at all, but for the very small amount of space that it took up, I guess it was a good sum), and it was shopped almost beyond recognition. I'll send CAR an email, nothing too severe, just telling them they need to sort out their editors.
EDIT: Just realized that they shopped out my signature on the side skirt.
EDIT AGAIN: Their inbox is full and they won't accept any messages...

As McRae pointed out it is probably not a good idea to seek credit/compensation for altering an official Porsche picture. Look at all the problems Shepard Fairey got into for altering the associated press photo to make the Obama "HOPE" poster. Although the countersue was eventually dropped it took over a year in court. So maybe you have that kind of time and legal representation? Otherwise . . .

I'm just going to laugh the irony off on this one and forget about it until (if) they do it again.
