At the launch there were hints that it will be 40-50% higher than the CGT... where did the $1,000,000 come from?

 

50% puts it at $675k USD from the $450k CGT. Everything I've seen and heard puts it above 850k plus options. Plus sales tax. 7 figures..

 

I voted for the 918, but it's still not 100%. Why not get the GT2RS, and put a deposit for the 918 then sell the GT2 when the 918 comes out?

I am pretty sure they are making the 918 sounds like a done deal. I received an invite to see the car in Aug I am sure some others on here got the same invite. I dont think anything has been set in stone regarding pricing or productions #'s but I also have heard the game plan is to price it above the CGT for sure but to have production #'s be significantly lower. I have a feeling regardless of the how far above CGT price the car is production will be less than half.

I think comparing the gt2rs to the 918 is kind of an odd comparison.

Hard decision because they are so different, but if they were side by side... and you could afford either one... I think it would be impossible to pass up the 918!!
