Intercity Lines Enclosed Transport Service!

Hello Teamspeed Members,

We have found that many customers and forum members are not fully aware of the service that Intercity Lines provides. We would like to take this opportunity to explain and show some photos of the steps Intercity takes in loading a car for transport.

Photo#1 & Photo#2
Upon arrival the drivers will perform a complete walk around inspection, noting VIN# and mileage of vehicle and condition of outside of the vehicle.

Photo#3
Next step will be to place a floor mat in the car and cover the drivers seat with a plastic cover.

Photo#4 & #5 & #6
The vehicle is driven on to the lift gate keeping the car level and lifted up and driven into the transporter.

Photo#7
The vehicle is driven into the transporter. Please note all our transporters are equipped with hardwood floors, drip barriers to protect lower level vehicles from upper level vehicles.

Photo#8
We use only nylon wheel saddles to secure the car down, over the tires only no chains, hooks or tensioners on the frame or undercarriage.

Photo#9
Once the vehicle is completely secured in the transporter we cover the vehicle with a cloth car cover and a plastic cover for added protection.

DJ,

Thanks for moving it to some better locations, not exactly sure where I could post it to get best exposure.

Thanks again,
Jim

I used Intercity for my RS and Spyder deliveries and can recommend them without reservation. Great service, fair price, people that care.

Whatever you do, don't ever use a "broker" for transport (ask me how I know). Low price, sloppy careless work and low class.

Intercity owns their trucks and uses their own people. 1st class operation all around.

Jim at Intercity will take great care to insure you have a good experience. Thanks Jim!

OFFRAILS is an unknown quantity at this point
Intercity picked up a car I sold two months ago and delivered my RS yesterday to the dealer.
Very professional all the way around. From the drivers to the staff in the office. Highly recommended.

Jim and the intercity lines crew are the best and have been for years. And years! We've been lucky enough to witness their service quite a few times with clients that have sent their cars from Canada or the East Coast.

HIGHLY recommended.

Jim,
u guys do good work no doubt. i've used u guys couple times, all happy.

btw, can u elaborate a little more on how u guys get in & out of the vehicle once it's in the transporter? i remember my GT3 was shipped with a minor, but big diameter dent on top of the rear quarter behind the driver side door. it was obvious that the driver put the body weight on the fender to get into the car when there's no room to open the door.

it was NOT u guys of course, but want to know how u guys do different compare to others.
