RS Spec Questions

Hey guys, I had a few questions about RS speccing and hope any owners could chime in:

1. The 997 GT3 RS mkI had available (through porsche tequipment) carbon fiber door mirrors as an option you could install on the car after it was already built. I wanted this same item to be put on a 997 GT3 RS mkII, but my dealership told me it was impossible to do because the mirror housing/wiring/assembly is completely different for the mkII vs the mkI. On the surface, this seems to make no sense to me since they look exactly the same. Is this true or is my dealership unknowledgeable/being lazy?

If it is true, anyone know of any aftermarket carbon fiber mirrors for the mkII RS that are out, and what kind of price it would command? If it isn't true, should I just go ahead and buy the porsche items and just have someone else install it? Anyone know the part number for this item?

2. I tried speccing the air conditioning vents, instrument surrounds, and dashboard strip trim in carbon fiber, but my dealer said this would have to also mandatorily include the top of the gear shifter in carbon fiber (which I wanted to remain in all alcantara). Again, is this true that I can't order these dashboard pieces separately, and that they have to be ordered all together as part of the "carbon package"? Any places sell these items aftermarket? What are the porsche part numbers for these items?

3. I am looking for a white rollcage for the mkII RS, which porsche doesn't allow us to option. Anyone have good experiences with any places near Worcester, MA (or pretty much anywhere in MA) that would do a great job ordering and installing this item aftermarket? How much would it cost for the item, painting, and installation, roughly? Is there a part number from porsche europe for this item?

4. I would like to paint the mkII RS rear lights all red (which, again, was an option on the mkI RS but for some reason isn't available this time). Anyone know of any places that sell this item already painted, or a good place to have them done?

5. For the 997.2 gt3, you can spec a fire extinguisher which I saw at the dealership and absolutely loved. For the mkII RS there was no option available to order the extinguisher - does it come standard? I do not plan on catching fire anytime soon but I really loved the item and hope they don't weirdly skimp on the RS owners and instead only make the option available to the gt3 owners. What is the part number for this item?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me,
Ryan

Might I suggest you give the boys over at MA Carbon a ring, I believe that they can take care of everything you mentioned other than the Rollcage. If you cannot find anyone local to do it you could source it from GMG and have the dealership install it. I believe you can get the fire extinguisher mount from PMNA.
