1216 GTs only? didn't expect it to be THAT low. Thought it was between 2k-2.5k.

I knew the UK figures

2008 34 cars
2009 28 cars

Someone posted the USA figures

2008 185
2009 20

Baring in mind USA is Porsche largest market with Germany second and UK fourth (China is in there somewhere it is No 2 now but not sure about 2008/9) the 1216 figure looks very plausible even on the high side.

You have to cast your mind back to late 2008, this is when I got the nod that I was "allowed" to order the second run 2009 model.... there was carnage in the economies, in the UK car sales virtually stopped and expensive car sales were hardest hit, I remember Aston were virtually at a production standstill, this is the reason the USA only bought 20 in '09 and the UK 28... the second run '09 cars with help from the credit crunch are mega rare beasts....

Based on those numbers, the 2009 models with the new PCM would be the rarest lot.. never really realized how rare these were..

Hi TB 993,

Yes, 1216 is the correct number - I have this in written form and as confirmation from Porsche AG - but I wont put it here ..and we are a picture thread here eanyway.

According to my estimation: the 2009 GT2 model with the PCM 3.0 is pretty rare..probably just around 300..

PS: contact me if you want to know more about the production numbers..

regards,

TB, you have the sickest GT2 i've seen. Only thing I dislike is the quad exhaust. It needs a big, thin-walled, side-angled pipe on each side.

AudiRS,
This is a Cargraphic bypass exhaust (in fact is their original development one !) so the left hand pipe comes straight from the cat and the right hand one comes from the muffler box so they are two proper working pipes

Having said that my pal who wanted the same bypass exhaust for his GT2RS got our local shop to fab it up so he only had the one big exit pipe as your preference.
