The GT2RS/GT2 Picture Thread......Go!
#3273
Yes - GT2s are now very difficult to find. There were a few on the market when the GT2RS came out..
Im happy to hear that you say that the GT2 is superior to 458, GTR etc..many people will not believe it....those who dont believe probably havent driven all of them. The arguments are always the same: old 6 speed = slow, ancient technology and so on..
However, a stock GT2 needs to be tweaked here and there to unleash the beast..which you have done..

greetings,
PS: have you made the track in the front wider with spacers? Some people report "good news" on this - other exactly the opposite..

I would not say that my car is superior to a 458 or scud, I can say that my car felt both faster and much more nimble.
After my wife did 5 laps in a 458, I asked her what she thought;
she said "it was OK, your porsche is much faster and handles better". I had not driven the F-cars yet, but after driving both of them for 7 laps each, I felt the same. Wheather my car really handles better is up for debate, but it feels more nimble and easier to push hard on the track. The acceleration on the straights is without a doubt faster in my car, and probably equal to the 458 if my car was stock. I sitll loved both F-cars and would love to own either one of them, but would not trade in my GT2 for one.

Have not widened the front with spacers, have heard differing opinions and thus will not chance it. The RSS suspension setup is superb and more than enough improvement.

5mm spacers are awesome mod for front
Got mine from RSS I suggest you try this with your set up and report back after
I did 5mm fronts and replaced OEM 5mm rears for 7mm

I've actually gone quite a bit, usually go with my father. Haven't driven my car up there before.
