Had the CGT in for an oil change and battery replacement this week...Porsche of Nashville were fantastic to deal with !

I have attached a pic below of a CGT engine bay...on the bottom left you will note an air intake duct with an aluminum ring on it...obviously a matching one on the right too. These are held onto the piping end by an epoxy glue...on mine, the left was nearly completely off and the right was also loose.

These things flying around loose in the engine bay might be "problematic". Give them a tug and make sure they are on tight.

Had the same problem with my silver one. Both rings came loose. I think "lack of use" of the car will accelerate this problem. Easy fix but good to know. I was cleaning my engine bay and just touched the rings and they came off.

 

The nice guy that I am, I will help all TS members deal with this dramatic issue. I shall drive your CGTs twice a week to reduce the risks. For free!!! Such is the spirit of the holidays.

What the h*ll!! Just checked the Toyota and seems the whole GT engine is flat out missing!! SOmeone replaced it with this weird 4,2 litre six from 1978! The nerve of some people....
