Sport Auto tested it and managed to get it around in 7:38. In comparison the 997.2 GT3 got a time of 7:40.
When Sport Auto compared the Enzo, Zonda F, Maserati MC12 and Carrera GT they all had times around 7:25, give or take 1 second.
Considering this I think 7:33 is an outstanding time for the new RS.
Under 7:30 was done with a Nissan GTR Spec V. But this is a time Nissan released so we have to be careful with that.
Porsche released a 7:40 for the GT3 and SportAuto could drive the same time. So I think a 7:33 with an RS is realistic.
It's the same discussion about the feasibility of the 7:29 (GT-R) every time.

So the real question is, is the RS really faster than the 997 GT2 and Carrera GT?

I don't know how much suspension tweaks it has over the GT2, which itself was optimized over the previous GT3... I guess we shall see. Unless the aero package has a huge effect on downforce over the GT2, or the new spec Michelin Cups are better, or ???

The one good thing about the GT2 is that I can just add a few bolt on parts and RS.

Let's wait and see what WR can do with the RS.

I don't think they will add this time from the GT3 RS, not really an official run. especially with traffic. These runs are usually on closed tracks.

Marc Basseng got the CGT around in 7:27 during the EVO magazine supercar test so it's not THAT fast, but a beast non the less.

Were it possible, I reckon the Porsche might just get the job done.

Hmmmm. I love the GT3 RS and everything it represents. However, the ZR1 weighs about 200 lbs more than the GT3 RS, it has fade-free carbon brakes, comparable high-speed handling, and a far superior power to weight ratio. My feeling is that whether its a one lap, four lap, ten lap or twenty lap race between the ZR1 and the GT3 RS, the vette is going to win every time, easily. With that being said, I would still rather have a GT3 RS.
