My GT3 is a road car so overheating will not be an issue, I got them for the weight savings, increased perf and extended service life. Yes they are expensive but every option is for a Porsche.
It's your cash, spend it your way.

I love the PCCB's to death.

Less weight
No brake dust
Great pedal feel
Yellow color really pops!

I can hear what Chris is saying but if you're ordering a new one to your specs, might as well have it just the way you wanted it, otherwise you will just regret not getting them. It's my favorite option on our car and partly the reason why we got it over a bunch of other 997's we were looking at.

Here's the thing - if I could piss money away, I'd get them for sure. I hate cleaning brake dust! But the cost/value equation just doesn't add up to me to justify it.

The stock brakes are good enough for the car, but since its a GT3 pccb makes it look more complete if you know what i mean.

Chris,
Getting and modding these cars are all about pissing away money
When is the new toy arriving?

FWIW, I haven't really heard rave reviews of PCCB, and some of our customers have complained that stopping when cold is a bitch.

Like Chris said, I'm not sure the cost can be justified.

It does sound like $9k is a bit much to spend to not have to clean brake dust, but if you have the money, why not. I am just wondering, are they really $4k EACh to replace? How long is the life on them? I would hate to have a $16k brake job...

If you do not track the car and don't drive like a mnaiac maybe 40-50K miles.

But have to agree they do look great ... paint calipers maybe $1,000 ... hehe
