If I could sell the Turbo for anything close to a reasonable amount it would be gone tomorrow, and I would never look back. If the GT3 was gone, I would immediately find an identical replacement.

Thanks - makes sense.

3. If I trade in the current car for a 2011 RS, how much more would I get in 1.5 years for a 07 GT3RS than a 09 Turbo with GT1 engine??
1. Even tuned it will not be the same as an RS
2. You have your DD so I dont think you will miss much
3. I think the RS will hold its value better than the TT

2010 GT3 RS is my vote
Gives you more time to enjoy TT and this way you can order the RS to your specs

I sold my custom ordered 07 TT and purchased an 08RS last year. I can't say that I've missed the TT that much and I love the RS. I should add that I have another daily driver and only drive the RS for fun. I would go for the RS.

If you're a driver, RS over turbo hands down. Two considerations for the new RS v '07-'08: It has lift height control. The only downside of my RS is there are places I cannot go without scraping the front spoiler. (Though, replacements are relatively cheap.)

Also, '10 comes standard with screens over the front inlets. I installed motorsports grills on my '07 to keep debris from damaging the intercoolers and they saved the RS coolers more than once. Only downside of the new one -- graphics (gag).

Yes, I do agree that the new graphics are a little less classy than the 07/08 ones. I do like the gray/red combination, though -- so much so that I am seriously considering painting the wheels on my lava Cayenne TTS matte red....

On the front lip replacement, can you actually damage the overall front bumper if you scrape something hard enough?? I haven't had to replace mine on the TT yet.

Thanks -- I just wonder if a tuned Turbo would be so much fun for the sheer power and kick that I wouldn't care about the sounds of an RS. Has anyone tuned their 997TT to 600+ HP?

I would say stick to the turbos, since you never mention anything about tracking the car, Please allow others who appreciate the orange with soft heart for racing.

You're right, but I never mentioned that I plan to learn because then the TT would never be given a chance on this thread. In fact, based on a friend's advice, I'm planning on buying a used Cayman to learn on the track.

So this being said, how are boosted turbos on the track? I get that the AWD is not as fun but they can't be THAT bad???
