Ah, young padwan, you have much to learn about the GT3. What the GT3 gives up in acceleration (which isn't much until you get to higher speeds) it more than makes up for in handling, braking, tactility, delicacy, and all-around driver satisfaction.

Lots of people go from a TT to a GT3 without regret. The only people who happily trade a GT3 for a TT are those who didn't really want a sports car in the first place.

Jason,
I've liked the Techart Wheel the 1st time you posted it up 2 years ago. Believe me, my whole family knows there is no cure for this

DJ,
I'll try to get something together this weekend before the Sharkwerks bypass goes on.

The GT3 is different from all of the Porsches I've had (never had a air cooled pne though). I like the turbo, it was fast and comfortable and easy to drive and you can drive it 24x7 all year round. But I keep reading and hearing so many glowing reviews of the GT3 from so many differnt sources that I had to jump at this oportunity to get one. And after the 1st 200 miles, I have no regrets. I knew this car is a beast once I Pressed that heavy clutch in and fired it up. You can tell by the lumpy idle, this is a special 911. Press the sports button and now it sounds a little angry, this car has an atitude. Select 1st gear and I notice the shift effort is higher than in the turbo, It has a very notchy feel to it, you have to very precise with your shift and your rewarded with a nice solid click into gear. Its like learning how to drive all over again. The Ride even in The normal PASM setting is stiffer than the normal setting on the turbo but it doesn't feel harsh. I've been keeping the revs under 4k and this car just feels so balanced. ANd the PCCBs are just fantastic, very solid pedel effort. I can't wait till I can open it up. So I guess what I'm trying to say is you can't really compare the turbo to the GT3. Both are great cars but with a different mission. turbo is a great everyday Super GT car you can use all the time and your family will have no problems driving it. The GT3 is Special driving experience, it give up a little of the comforts but in return you get a track ready package that Porsche has been able to tune so it's also driveable on the road. If you love to drive and the feel of a car with soul, you've got to try a GT3, you will be hooked !!!

Love this Techart wheel, it adds a little contrast to the interior.

Big Congrats on a gorgeous GT3! First thing I noticed were those "huge" yellow calipers.....and love that steering wheel. Enjoy in the best of health.

hey dave, great write-up and be careful, once you sample the GT3 you rarely if/ever go back to the turbo:P

Hope you like your "stereo" in the back;P
