I highly doubt there is going to be a GT2 "RS"....there is a reason why there hasn't been one yet. The GT2 is as raw, if not more raw than the GT3RS. There isn't much more they can take out and still be able to sell it to joe schmoe big dick who needs the most expensive 911, and there aren't enough true enthusiasts who would appreciate (and pay for!) a car like that to justify building it.

I could be completely wrong though. We'll see

This new stripe scheme sounds kinda gross, but I'm excited to see the new Stealth Gray color!

The new super-997 sounds like it could be a reincarnation of the RS America or something along those lines if it stays NA.

 

There is all sorts of chatter over on Rennlist about a Czech auto journalist who discussed the GT2 RS with Walter Rohrl. Supposedly Porsche has been testing this car and its faster than the CGT in a straight line. Maybe rumors, maybe not, but I certainly think there is a market for this car, however small it may be. I'll look for the article and try to post it.

Hate to do this to you guys but the GT2RS is NOT coming and the new 'super' 997 isnt that super... It is a C2S widebody, Powerkit, Fuchs style wheels, double bubble roof, ducktail spoiler, primer grey in colour, with a retro brown leather interior and it is to be called the Supersport. Only being made in very limited numbers and will cost £135,000 in the UK.

On the plus side I have just paid my deposit on a GT3RS!!

 

Well...that totally ruined my day. No 585+hp GT2 RS? Maybe Porsche can now concentrate on building a pickup truck or something...

Totally dashed my dreams. I guess the rumors of a GT2 RS being tested we're just that.
