Wow, 10lbs is a lot per corner - plus its at the inside. Think about how important saving a few pounds per wheel is...

I got the info from the latest Panorama Magazine (PCA's mag) - they got it from the factory. Apparently with the aluminum hats, the new metal rotors are ~4 lbs lighter than the 997.1 GT3 rotors and the PCCBs are 10.6 lbs lighter than that. If you do the math, it means the new PCCBs are 15 lbs/corner lighter. That is very significant...

Well.......I don't have exact specs on the 380 mm's, but I happen to have a set of 350 mm PCCB's and Cast Iron rotors. Here is what I found (approximately)

350 mm PCCB Rotor 12 lbs.
350 mm Cast Iron Rotor 29 lbs.

The weight may vary depending on the exact rotor and application, but that's a significant drop in weight.

Fo sho. I'm sure it makes a difference in overall dynamics of the car. But, so do R Compound tires, sunroofs, etc. I know it's very un-enthusiast of me to say, but at what point is enough, enough? Not saying one shouldn't go with the ceramics -- I'd consider it. Plus, they are sexy.

I need to lose 50lbs off ME, not my car... then I'll worry about that crap. I buy that stuff for the sheer car porn of it...
