Didn't know Akra made car exhausts as well! Always liked 'em just because the name sounds cool.

When I weighed my Akrapovic Evolution Race exhaust before installation, I stuck the headers, connecting pipes and center muffler loosely together and vertically positioned the system on my bathroom scale, the result was 31 lbs. I did not weigh the individual parts hence I have no numbers! As for proofing anything, I have no interest in proofing to people who don't want to believe what I am writing here. My intent here is to inform members of my experiences with what I purchased and not outdo anybody or anything.

Wow. Love the way it sounds in the high range of the rpm.

Sorry but I doubt it.

I want proof of these weight savings. Itemize each component weight.

The only reason I am pursuing this is because I have an exhaust system that will better this.

Ranger
And what system would that be?

Unless you are dumping the exhaust for straight pipes, I doubt you will get lighter than the Akrapovic Evolution.

The Akrapovic and FVD single muffler titanium race systems weigh exactly the same. 31 lbs.

The FVD titanium muffler weighs 16 lbs. The headers weigh less than 4lbs a piece.

I got a very good deal on the Evolution Race system and besides I liked the steady power increase throughout the midrange all the way to red line as seen on the power diagram, compare the Evolution Race diagram with the sport system, there is a clear drop in the midrange on the sport system, http://www.akrapovic.com/index.php.
I bought the side mufflers separately but so far have not decided to install them. The sound, drivability of the Evolution Race system is just superb.

Just finished a lengthy write up on my Akrapovic Evolution Race system (I know, long overdue and I appologize) and will post it within the next days - stay tuned!

In the second video it looks like there is an exhaust leak around the flange that connects to the catalytic converter.
