GT3/RS Grille Screens DIY

okay, so i really wanted some grille screens to protect the 3 radiators on the front end of my car. but the prices from both GMG ($395) and Cargraphics ($252) was just too much. so, i decided to make my own.

i purchased an Expanded Sheet from OSH for $38.00 these are made of stainless steel and are powder coated black. these are intended for bbq grilles and windows, so hopefully they can with stand rock chips and the weather.

i made a template of the intake with particle board and then cut the grille to fit around it.

tap the grilles with a hammer, until you get the desired shap.

to make things easier, i remove the intake from my bumper. i tested fitted and bent the ends in. then i epoxied the grilles in.

the center part is easy. just cut and snap into place. no epoxy needed

well thats it just do the other grille and put the bumper back together.

That's a clever DIY!
Since the parts of from a BBQ grill, maybe you can heat up the rotors at the track and then roast a few burgers on the vents trackside!!!!!
Then a few blasts to 150 to jet clean the grill.
