I'm still not quite seeing the advantage. A 328i in the US is only $12,000 cheaper than a 528i to begin with. I can imagine that price gap would only shrink with the long wheelbase version, especially because I would think anyone ordering the LWB car would most likely have quite a few options on it as well.
so for example if a 50k car is 200k there a 100k car would be then,..?
the price difference between a 3er and a 5er is way bigger for them,thus the compromise here
