Spied Again: The 2013 BMW 4-Series Coupe

Our trusty Teamspeed spies managed to snap a few new shots of the upcoming BMW 4-series coupe. From these images we can clearly make out the overall shape of the upcoming stylish coupe featuring minimal camouflage, suggesting the new 4 is just about production ready.

Power will options carry over from the newly revealed 3-series and of course an //M variant is in the works as well. We do not expect a diesel variant of the coupe to make it to the states.

Speculation is that the new 4-series will be completed by both, two-door and four-door sport coupe variants (as BMW will be doing with the 6-series as well), to compete against the likes of the Audi A5 range. Yes, we know this is starting to get a bit confusing.

Not doubting it is a BMW but I see a lot of design ideas from Volvo in this car. Interesting!!!

 

I'm a car newbie but i have been keeping up with this news for a while. I just want to know, what's the point of the camoflauge? It seems like we still recognize the car somewhat easily.

The 3er coupe is now the 4-series. Or at least that is what is perceived.

 

I'm pretty sure BMW will split sedans and coupes into 3 and 4 series... like 5 and 6 series. Hmmm M4. Reminds me of the Abrams tank!

 

I think that car has more camo than a lot of people see at first glance (body lines).

Also, this car is stupid. I hope it doesn't sell, and bmw scraps it. I'm not even sold on the 1 yet, and if you want a big boat coupe, you got a 6.

 

Not really feeling it as of now. Way too long and narrow. The E46 was perfect.
