Love?
Hate?

Info request really.

Headache?
Great cars?

They've held strong value now for a few years.

Are the engines good?

I know nothing of BMW's

The owners are scared of driving them. BMW did not do a good job with the Al body structural engineering, and a wrong pothole hit could make you send the car to SC factory for frame repair.

Other than the frame issue, the engine is as good (or bad) as the E39 M5.

I wouldn't get it.

Why isn't this in the ///M section?

Z8 is a beauty.. and its one fast mother.. had the pleasure of "racing" one at a traffic light once in my M Coupe, and that thing can fly..

Its a collectors car.

Because it's not an M car?

Like 850csi, also not M car.

More importantly, the Al frame issue is just lame. How would you like to drive a car that you have to worry about every pothole big or small on the road?

How many actually have that problem? I have ridden in z8s and the owner didn't drive any differently over potholes, etc. plus, BMW must have done a lot of testing on real road surfaces? That being said, don't get one, many cooler cars out there.

Really? I'm almost 100% uncertain that I saw a silver on red one at BMW North Scottsdale several months back for $100K. I don't believe it had an offensive amount of miles on it either. This was a while ago, so it has to be gone by now.
And my favorite feature of that car is the rear slit lamps. Looked freakin awesome when it came out, still does today.
