Good to see others share the same feelings.
Craigger you may have to fulfill his wish!

BMW's V12 was revolutionary for the time... I remember being amazed by watching the "balancing coin tests" even under acceleration.

One of my all time favorite cars. If I could pick 5 cars of any era, price range or model, this would definitely be one of those. (The other 4 being Lancia Delta Integrale HF, Renault Alpine A110, Maserati MC12 and a 993 GT2).

I will never forget the first time I saw one - I was with my dad heading up the Grossglockner pass, and a black 850 passed us like a bat out of hell.

There are a bunch of 6-speed cars posted in this thread but I couldn't find a single one for sale. Is it super rare or was it only an option on the 840?

According to wiki - The 840Ci (V8) U.S. models were each equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission. The 850i/850Ci (V12) models each carry either a 4-speed automatic transmission, 5-speed automatic transmission, or a 6-speed manual. The 850CSi model only came with a 6-speed manual transmission.

^ Sweet, thanks! So a black/black 850CSi with Hartge wheels and proper old school amber indicators = what I want.

Reliability? Shesh, who cares! It doesn't even have an auto box that will inevitably break sooner or later. So what could possibly happen . . . *knocks wood

First time I saw one, I remember thinking "SHARK". I couldn't stop staring at the car. I may be lucky to see one a year now.

Are you sre that's a CSİ ? It doesn't have the //M Side mirrors ! Never the less a stunning example.

We've still got our '94 850 in Navy blue/Navy Blue. LOVE the car but lots of headache trying to maintain them and unfortunately ours is just collecting dust in the garage. Need to tidy that car up soon. Love the estoril blue 850 pic! Cheers for sharing! Great thread
