I dont think it will be as well recieved over here in the US. Why not just get a X6?
I'm sorry but are you seriously suggesting this car will not sell well in the States because US customers are somehow more rational than European carbuyers? Don't forget that the only reason we suffer the hybrid craze today is the love these 'sensible' Americans have for the bloody things. This car caters to the irrational buyer who doesn't have to worry too much about expensive gas, hence why it will do well in the States. And Saudi_Ferrari will buy one of course.

Uhm. No. Those are your words. Not mine. I'm saying that it wont sell well b/c American's prefer a 'true' SUV. Although, one could argue the X6 is not, it's a SAV, regardless it sits higher and has more of a 'SUV' stance. This 5 series GT is testing those commitments. If production levels are low, then maybe they could keep supply / demand in check. I just dont see your average buyer for this brand of car really falling goo goo all over it.

If you ever lived in the United States you'd understand why they're obsessed with 'bigger is better'. (even though most could easily use a 5 Series wagon and acheive the same thing!!)

And I 100% agree about the bullsh*t hybrid craze. If any of those 'hybrid' owners had half a brain they'd realize the Diesels coming in the US have a smaller carbon footprint and over all are BETTER for the Planet then cars that use NON recycleable batteries such as the Toyota's and Lexus Hybrids.

The blue one is wearing ///M badges meaning it's an M5 GT?

I think I like it. I'll just have to wait and see if it grows on me.

It's interesting how a lot of new cars are using rectangular flush mounted tail pipes.
