Fitch Phoenix...
I saw this yesterday at the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. It's the prototype, and also the only example in the world. It's based off of a 1966 Corvair, built by John Fitch (who's still alive, and was there yesterday). After he made this one, he wanted to make more. But GM announced that they were ceasing production of the Corvair. So without a steady supply of "drawing boards", he decided against moving forward with the project.
The car weighs 1,950 pounds and has 170 horsepower.

LOL...!
It's got a nice body. I think it's going to be worth something some day. The owner and creator lives in Salisbury, Connecticut, and he's apparently having some issues with an oil tank leak on his property and the Department of Environment Protection is giving him shit about it. They want $300,000, and he's trying to fight it. So, right now, I guess it's not worth that much (or it is and he just doesn't want to sell it).
And in case anyone's wondering - because I certainly was - the two humps behind the two front wheels are both for spare tires. The humps certainly give it a unique look, that's for sure.
