New daily driver - 2012 Subaru Impreza

Picked up my 2012 Subaru Impreza Sport Premium yesterday.

Was blue skies when I went into the dealership, snowing when I drove off. Drive home w/ 5 miles on the car:

Overall I'm really happy with it. Its roomy, rides comfortably but still handles well, has been doing great on gas, and is comfy inside.

Sport seats have a nice cloth and are heated.

Front seat is where I have it to drive. I'm 5'10" and there's tons of space behind me.

Visibility is excellent.

Safe, spacious, AWD, comfortable, efficient and well priced. Definitly happy with this purchase.

And, last but not least, I got the correct transmission:

New shift knob coming soon, probably the Cobb tuning one with the red collar.

The cobb knob is nice, but it is very light which makes shifting a bit notchier than it already is.

Check out wclathewerks too, this guy has a ton of options: WC Lathe Werks

Thanks! I'm looking over the site now. The prices are a little more for a comparable knob but the extra weight might be worth it.

Yeah, they're not cheap, but he offers custom options too if you email him. Oh, and Killer B makes some delrin shift knobs if you're looking for a cheaper option: Killer B Motorsport

Personally I have a chromed steel sphere that the previous owner of my 6 speed made himself. A heavier knob adds a nicer feel to shifting, even the stock knob is fairly heavy (heavier than I thought it would be for sure).

Hope you're enjoying the new car man, definitely a dependable daily.

Thanks Pinned. My wife just ordered me a knob from Latheworks - black copolymer with red shift pattern. I'll let you know how it looks when it comes in.
