Depends

Totally depends on the car. A reasonable person could take polar opposite strategies for different cars:

You could keep a 7.1 GT3 forever and ever, letting it age like a fine wine, honing your skills over the years.

You could treat daily drivers as disposable, essentially. I think a lot of people are more likely to accept spec compromises if the car is leased and they plan on getting something else in 36 months, so why not take a few risks?

Usually one year....although I have owned three different cars in the last 18 months. I promised the wifey at least two years on the current one and I already have the itch for something else after 5 months.....it's a fvcking sickness

I've yet to keep a car longer than 18 months.

I went through 5 cars last year...but this year I am done with switching around ever 2-3 months and will keep them for more then a year at least I am saying that to myself now.
