Thanks, Raul! I don't think I'm going to mod much (DSG + reflash = problems, winter will chew up painted valences, etc.). I will probably get it tinted and that's about it. My Porsche already fills the "fast car" role.
Good luck with your sale - you should find buyers. FWIW, 2008 used ones are going for $20K or so.

lol I have to remember I'm not a VW Vortex

the DSG makes it feel a lot faster. I had my valences painted last summer and went through a tough winter.....they're still holding up well. I Just think it makes a world of difference

I remember you saying something about a GTi at Laguna, but didn't realize you were ready to do it.
Cool car, tell us some more about it. Does the 2.0T w/ DSG make for a nice, potent package? Handles OK? Is the interior build quality and features enough to make you satisfied coming from your Porsche?

The 2.0T + DSG is honestly a dream combo (much like the S2000 2.0L + 6-speed). It really matches what I needed perfectly, has lots of torque, feels very nimble, and is well-made. The interior is nicer than before since it's got the upgrade package (Autobahn Pkg). It has a ton of items standard that were optional on my 911!!! That's pretty pathetic on Porsche's part.
Raul - Considering that your valences held up over winter, I might do it... How much did it cost you?
Thanks again for the compliments!!

but if you consider getting the votex kit, that'll run you about $1200 or more plus paint and install
again, it held up well to my last winter which was extreme, I'm sure you'll be fine in Va

Chris you pulled the trigger what, not even 2 hours after calling me for the sanity check?
He definitely does not mess around. The Cayman was one hour of looking at websites, going to the dealer, and signing.
Car looks great man!!
