I love it. After all the hemming and hawing, I realized this is exactly the car I needed now. This time I'll keep it for a while... Seriously. Really. I mean it this time. :yahoo:

Thanks for looking!

Nice. Congrats on a very smart purchase that will provide you with years of good service and fun.

Quiet a fast DD, now tune it and get an exhaust......I drove one three years ago its really a fun car to own.

Thanks guys - I had a 2006 (Mo you might remember that one), but this *feels* a little quicker and tighter, like the build quality got better. The guy in sales said the TSI has a little more torque and HP (like 3-4 of each). Either way, it's plenty for what I need to get to work, drive in winter, etc. The C4S will still get plenty of road time...

I think my biggest challenge will be keeping my wife from taking this car! Thank you, honey (she bought it for me!). :)

looking good Chris!

now get the valences painted, chip it, exhaust, intake and you'll be all set

you are right, the '09s do feel faster than my '06

Thanks, Raul! I don't think I'm going to mod much (DSG + reflash = problems, winter will chew up painted valences, etc.). I will probably get it tinted and that's about it. My Porsche already fills the "fast car" role.

Good luck with your sale - you should find buyers. FWIW, 2008 used ones are going for $20K or so.

Congrats Chris. GTIs are probably one of the best DDs out there, especially for the money.

Congrats. You need to get the rear and the front bumper painted white ASAP.

I remember you saying something about a GTi at Laguna, but didn't realize you were ready to do it.

Cool car, tell us some more about it. Does the 2.0T w/ DSG make for a nice, potent package? Handles OK? Is the interior build quality and features enough to make you satisfied coming from your Porsche?
