The 24 Hours of Lemons thread

So..I've entered in the 24 Hours of Lemons. The race is August in Buttonwillow. I'll be sure to bring a sweater.

So here's the car: a 1991 323 hatchback I named Georgia. She was left on the street when her owner moved back...somewhere. My friend Brett picked it up for back DMV fees...which of course he didn't pay, because we're not registering it.

Gutted, roll cage going in:

I have a good team set up: one is a VW mater tech, one works at a Lotus fabrication shop, and one is a seasoned amateur racer. My only contribution is that I have a truck that can pull a toyhauler.

Question: do we really have to stick with our "theme"? I kind of could give a crap about that, and wearing costumes OVER a nomex suit in 110 heat is going to kind of suck. I just want to race a beater and have fun out there.

I'm trying to get a team/car together for the event at MSR here in Houston this October so this will be a helpful thread. However, the Aug 15th entry deadline is rapidly approaching and I don't have a car or team put together.

You named it so you wouldn't kill it? Never heard of this Lemons before, looking into it now.

I'm in MN but I'd be happy to start a team with you if possible. We could all come together to form Team Team Speed!
