What Are Land Rover Defenders Like On The Road?
I'm jonesing for one, well I really want an old 2 door LandCruiser, but they are impossible to come by, so this is the closet thing.
Are they tolerable on the road? id be dd'ing the son of a bitch.
Calling 4Wheels.
This is pretty much the coolest thing, and as close to an FJ as i can get.

EDIT: Someone just sent me this link http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-222824029.htm
How much would i sink into it to clean it up? I know thats a stupid question.

I have always loved D90's. they are so bitch. I have no expieriance with them though. so i dunno bought DD'ing one, although I would do it. and that is 100% cooler than an FJ, (i hate them)

.

Yeah I wouldn't mind a 4 door Wrangler with the soft top ( slightly less homosexual than the 2 door ) but would rather the defender.

I love those cars, saw one today and couldn't help but stop and admire.
I'm not sure how they would be as a DD. A friend of mine had a pretty raw FJ40 (350 motor, loud exhaust, stripped out, etc.) that he would drive to the office and around town on certain days. When I asked him how it was, he said it just made him appreciate his M5, but he did enjoy it because of the contrast. So, I guess it really depends on what your route to work is, and the specific vehicle you're considering. If you just have a 5 mile jaunt to the office on surface streets, and the car is reasonably well put together, I'd say go for it. What's the worst that could happen?

Defender or FJ ( 70's ) ?
The defender is about 35k NZD, the FJ is like 12k NZD.... And I could put money into the FJ?
Someone on here as a old school FJ?
