What Are Land Rover Defenders Like On The Road?
#22
If it were me, I'd look for a nice example of a Defender 90. Something that is still true to its original intentions, but has adequate brakes, a (somewhat) livable suspension, functioning HVAC system, etc.
Also, I assume you have the inclination to do some camping and outdoor adventures when you're not working. It's like a GT3, sure, you can DD it, but the real justification is to enjoy it during your free time, in its intended environment.

I think the one you first posted looks amazing. I love the D90's. Really great trucks/jeeps whatever. I love them. A friend of mine had one, and I have wanted one ever since. My sister had a wrangler that I would drive often. It was fun, but I would shoot myself if I had to drive it everyday. Especially on the highway. I would not recommend it as a daily driver. Too much road noise, and wind noise, not so stable at highway speeds. Great second car though. show us pics if you get it.

Thanks guys. Im gonna go drive one in the weekend just to see how it is.
Now i have no idea what to get.
Stalin vetoed the idea as well, although my mother thinks it's a great idea, bizzare.

id DD the first one as i only drive 2 miles to work everyday. having been in a few, i would stay off the highway and just cruise around and not worry about climate control as in an old car or vert...
the fj is cool, but not nearly as cool. good luck on your decision. btw, the accessories on the d90 are fairly expensive.
