Recently, I've spent some time looking at SUV options as well. I love the idea of getting into a clean, pre-owned Land Cruiser. I wouldn't be at risk for tickets, it could tackle anything I'd like and need to do, and could pile friends into it. . Unfortunately, the exchange rate kills me, and I don't really have the time to take care of it ... but it's still running in the back of my head.

Realistically i'm looking to get into a B7 Audi A4 for DD duty this summer (i've been driving an enormous P.O.S. for close to two years now) and maybe something with Stuttgart build on the vin later in the year. Gotta see how the markets unfold. 
Still feel like nows the time to keep capital close to the chest for the most part as things continue to drop in price in the near term. Should probably save up for some real estate rather than buy a play toy.

Lotus Exige
Moving into town this summer so I really don't need a car anymore, but I'm not sure that reasoning can ever work in my mind. I need to feel the sensation of speed, roaring of an engine and adrenaline rushing going into a corner
Prices have come down a bit on the Exige, but finding a nice LHD black one kinda narrows the field...
