Yeah I'm a big Gran Turismo fan, too. I would say it definitely influenced me to get an Evo (though I originally was going to buy an STi). The other big influence for me was reading all the UK car mags in the '90s, raving about the STi, the Evo, etc.

I most certainly have added my real-life cars to my GT garage when the cars were available. It also helped to test out which wheels would look good or not...

That's how I wound up buying a Nissan 350Z. I started playing my kids Need for Speed Underground game, and.....got the same exact car I had in the game, down to the color & body kit!!

I sense a new marketing ploy coming on. Instead of just displaying cars at malls, they can put a simulator next to it show peeps how it feels and sounds to drive that exact car.
