Truck tires
Any recs for light truck tires? The Avalanche needs replacements. Old ones aren't even worn out, they're just dry rotted to heck.
I need something that can go offroad since I spend a lot of time off pavement (nothing hardcore). I'd prefer something quieter though.
I was looking at the Bridgestone Revo AT but a friend of mine who sells tires is trying to sell me on Kumho KL51s.

How much noisier are AT tires vs. LT highway tires?
I'd like the ability to do more than fire roads but I also like how my Av tries to be a luxury car on the highway. I've never run into traction problems with the LTs since it's so dry here but then again I'm not trying very hard...

BFG A/T FTW.
Make sure they are LT, a P tire is more easily slashed by debris and rocks on fire roads.

BFG A/T's on my 2002 Avalanche 2500. Siped as well. Never once stuck in the latest blizzard in Portland, used every weekend to go to the mountain, daily driver whenever its nasty out. Use it off-road and camping as well. Love these tires, much better than the Toyo Open Country's I had on it before. Probably the best upgrade I have done to the truck.
