I've driven all of them except for the Audi Q7 V12 TDi - the Touareg is the best by a long run.

For the usage you describe, I'd get something other than an SUV, however, of the choices, I'd go for the RR Sport TDV4.
If I could add one - Audi Q7 V12 Tdi

V12 TDI with displacement of six liters, 368 kW (500 hp) output and 1,000 Nm torque (737.56 lb-ft)
Common rail injection with a maximum pressure of 2,000 bar for highly cultivated operation and smooth combustion
0 – 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 5.5 seconds, top speed 250 km/h (155.34 mph, electronically capped)

I should have just made this a poll with the two options.

Yes should've know better .

Obviously a diesel Cayenne is the lamest thing ever so nobody in their right mind should contemplate getting that.

If the person in question can swing it, the TDV8 is a superb engine and the best choice. Not much wrong with the TDV6 either. It's smooth and torguey but the Sport is a very heavy vehicle. If waiting a bit longer before purchase is an option, you might want to hang on for the new 3.0 diesel which will become available in the XF. That's a 275 bhp unit with ample torgue (600 Nm). You can bet that engine will find its way to the RR Sport as well.

Toying around London...I'd say Smart, G wiz or an equally small and gay car. Or just a bus pass
Also there's the Mini which is useful around the city and capable during highway driving.
If Diesel is key, look at the Audi A5 3.0 tdi or an A3 tdi.
Jag XF, sure, nice looking car, but quality wise...well it's British, so I wouldn't bet that the electrics work for more than a few weeks

I would take the LR TDi and a daily beating to the groin before I'd get a Cayenne V6.

Anyone who buys a SUV that isn't a diesel is strange in the head.
