And no, this isn't James Dean's Porsche 550 found in some basement.

Have a good look at these cars ... you're thinking "wow, someone hit the jackpot. Found all those poor cars that have been abandoned for years. Now they will finally be restored to the grandeur they once were."

Reality is quite a bit more infuriating.

The cars have belonged and still belong to the same owner. They are simply moved from their current barn close to Paris to some unknown location in the middle of rural France. Considering the array, no doubt the owner has taste. But he refuses to sell any of the cars (despite many offers), just as much as he refuses to do any restoration on them. Article says the owner disapproves of the whole business around classic cars, hence his decision to keep the cars, even he will destroy them.

FWIW, the cannibalized Bugatti 55 being crudely towed by a tractor ... that's one of 6.

Pretty funny title as barn = children in Swedish.

Aside from that, quite the collection of cars found. I've always dreamt of finding an abondoned shed filled with old italian supercars.

Owner should give me the 55. I'd hotrod and turbo it, and really piss the purists off.

Typical Frenchman.

At least he's a man with principals, what happens to the cars when he dies?
