Need Carport Ideas....

Looking to do a carport in the near future to cover the area in front of my garage, since I often park one or two cars outside of the garage and I'm getting very tired of cleaning bird droppings from my cars. My neighbor is a twat and keeps feeding the birds rotten bread, so they eat by her and crap by me. It's a bad deal.

Here's my area that I'm interested in covering. A few random pictures to give you guys an idea of what I'm trying to do:

The space is roughly 20 by 20 that I need to cover. I don't want it to look crappy, so I'm looking for some tasteful ideas of what to use as a shelter. The shade will make an awesome detailing spa too! I love handwashing/paint correction, so its gonna be a nice zen area for me to work!

I was leaning towards this: CARPORT.COM Metal Carports, Steel Garages and Barns FREE Installation!

It must withstand New York/New England winters, and wind obviously. Don't want a cheap POS that is gonna fall on my cars!! lol

Thanks in advance, I know this place has great taste in automotive design so I look forward to the replies!

If money is not a factor i would get a contractor and make a permanent covering that matches your house. just my 2 cents

I kind of like the semi-permanent idea, based on other things (ease of install, removability and taxation). As it is, property taxes have spiraled out of control in my neck of the woods.

Nothing wrong with a bit of wood.
