Damn cable box, anyone have advice?

I've had this box less than 3 weeks; came home to find it says "noCP"?

I googled it and it means something to do with the HDMI cable? But I never touched anything.....

Did you unplug and plug in the HDMI cable (both ends)? And is the cable HDMI 2.0 or whatever it is, complaint?

try unplugging the box for a bit and then turn it back on. also, swap out the hdmi cable to eliminate that as the problem. if all else fails, call the cable company and they might have to send a signal to the box, that happened to me once

I called the cable company; but before I did I unhooked it; turned power on and off, completely powered it down by disconnecting it from the outlet- they communicated with it; but it wouldn't enter into its actual reboot cycle.

Guess maybe bad HD.
