Going to make the leap- Verizon to ATT (for iPhone 4)

And was wondering what I should expect for a montly bill-

Right now I have:

Nationwide talk and text with a data plan and pay on average $110/mo for my droid eris.

From those who have switched, how much more should I expect my plan to go up?

Just trying to get the full picture as I'm going to be breaking my contract with Verizon. I think VZW is fantastic and thier customer service, I just am jonezing for an Iphone and thinking about sipping the apple iphone kool aid big time!!

Unlimited talk & text with 2gb data is gonna run 115/month + fees, taxes etc. If you want tethering its another $20/month ... if you go over 2gb again you gotta pay extra.

ATT.com should allow you to enter in what you want and give you exact cost.

I did that but I wanted to get REAL world opinions. So I know what to expect.

I surf the 'net' quite a few times a day so I dont know if 2gb is a lot or little amount of data.

I am on the internet almost all the time and the 2gb has been good for me so far. It helps that you can use wifi almost everywhere too. I just made the switch over from sprint to att and haven't had any issues.

Ah, I can't wait for your next threads titled "Fawk, I have to stand in the middle of my back yard to get reception", "How many dropped calls did you have today?" and "So I went to NYC, but I wasn't able to call anyone because I have AT&T".

Have fun

Eh. I've had my 3GS for over a year and ATT for over 3 years... no problems. OCCASIONALLY I don't have 3G, but I'm never without GSM Edge (the E you see). I can't comment on the data plans, since I have the unlimited plan and on two phones (my wife and I). We pay about $175 a month for unlimited data, SMS, etc. That's reasonable in my opinion.

No I won't bitch about the signal dropping b/c I already know about it and have been fully warned.

I just want to try it out and see how it goes. I can get one of those 'mini cell sites' right?
