Can't see GT6 coming for years if ever. It took ages for us to get GT5. I can see increasing use of downloadable content, ie new cars, tracks etc but don't hold your breath awaiting a new game.

It took 5years to get GT5 and they still wanted more time. if that helps hint at anything for "GT6"

Forza is too "arcadey" and quite honestly I dont think it will ever trump gran turismo.

Exactly. No DLC for GT5 was released yet, and I'm afraid that GT6 will be compatible with PS4, not PS3. We will all wait a while.

As far as GT5 vs Forza is concerned: If some features of both games were combined, we could receive a perfect racing game.
Also, it's too bad they are exclusives. No matter how awesome Forza 4 will be, I won't buy Xbox just for that game. I did it with PS3, no need to do it again.

I would never buy a system for ONE game. not able to justify the purchase for only one.

Everything i've heard about F4 is that it's a quantum leap in handling physics over the previous generation. They used all of Pirelli's racing data for all of their tires to completely rebuild their tries model.

Initial coverage is that it is much more realistic than that of GT5 so i'm holding my breath. Don't get me wrong - I love GT5, but i'd be happy to see any new sim pushing the boundaries and making things more realistic.

Neither are true sims IMO - you have to go to rFactor (F1 teams use rFactor pro for their simulations) and iRacing for true simulations.

the PC stuff looks horrible mario kart looks better.not sim worthy to me. Forza is trying to steal the Limelight when the reality is they already have it, jus for the xbox crowd.

I agree that the current hard core PC sims are still a few years behind the curve in-terms of their graphics backbone... but lets be honest... GT5 sucks donkey balls in a lot of ways as well. 80% of the cars are "standard" and have less detail than the average rFactor car... the shadows are laughably bad... and it's not like Monaco has beautifully rendered water effects in the marina or tire marbles on the track...

iRacing 2.0 is supposed to be a massive graphical update and rFactor 2.0 is set to be released this year as well so fingers crossed!

Look, Forza has WAY better cars. No question. I also like the full customization of the exterior.

That said, I like the way GT5 "drives" better. I like the attention to every little detail - I just wish they'd quit putting the time into 1.0L crap Japanese econoboxes. I also wish GT would add Porsche and other high-end manufacturers (Bentley, Koeniggsegg, etc.).

Gran Turismo is not perfect by any stretch, but it's still one of my favorite games, period.
