How to connect TV to wireless network at home?

Is there a device I can buy to connect my tv with my laptop, via my wireless network at home? In other words, display what is on my laptop on the tv.

What would it be called? How is it configured?

I have a gigabit laptop wireless, only N for the network.

Thanks

so resolution is 480p in video mode, 720in photo mode. not exactly very clear.

Here is another. I am not sure if technology is mature enough given the reviews.

Why not just get a DVI to HDMI cable and connect it directly? (assuming your laptop has DVI out)

I was hoping to avoid wires. That's what I use now.

Asus oplay hdp-r3 - review
Asus oplay hdp-r3 - newegg

this device is great in that you can stream from a shared folder or even a network attached storage wirelessly. (wireless from your laptop/NAS to this device, wired from this device to your tv).
