I was told otherwise about MW2.

So what does it mean when it says "migrating host" in the middle of a match?

Thoughts? I played it a little bit last night, and overall it is an improvement over Bad Company, though somewhat minor. I have owned all of the Battlefield titles since the beginning, and this game feels more like a polished version of the previous title, or an expansion pack rather than an evolution like the other games in the series provided. It appears team-killing has been eliminated, which is disappointing.
The game is decent and the interactive environment is quite cool, but something about it, like with Bad Company 1, just has a hard time holding my interest for more than a few hours. Often I find myself getting bored in the middle of a match which contrasts greatly with the experience of playing a game like Modern Warfare.

What are your thoughts?

Team killing is still in, they have just separated it between 'hardcore' (similar to in MW2) and normal servers now.

I can only comment on the multiplayer as single player isn't my thing:

Well, the launch was, and still is, pretty shaky. From what I understand, sales were way beyond what was expected, and a result there has been significant server downtime across all platforms. In addition, the in-game store (where you can purchase additional maps, camo, etc.) is down for PS3, and they still have yet to update the veteran page, so not everyone can unlock the M1. There are a few bugs as well.

That being said, the game is unreal. I was in the closed beta, and played the demo for an absurd amount of time, so I knew what to expect; but I'm still blown away. If you have never played Bad Company, and are intrigued by vehicle combat and objective based gameplay, then you are in for a treat.

For those who have played BC, BC2 is better in every single aspect. Graphics, sound (which was already amazing in the first), and gameplay. You now have weapon customization (ie. scopes, though more limited than in MW2, though you can also customize the vehicles), the ability to take down entire buildings (on objectives too, which adds a new dimension to the rush mode), and specializations (perks).

I love the MW franchise, but I just couldn't understand how the most efficient way to get kills in a game titled 'Modern Warfare' was to use a rifle made in 1887 and super knifes. I personally love being able to use a guided missile to take out a Blackhawk with four guys in it, or load up an ATV with C4 and drive it into a building. Bottom line, it's the most fun I've had playing a videogame in a long time.

I need to update the OP with a bunch of info, but I've barely logged an hour of playtime as I got a surprise week-long visit from the gf; so I'm gonna play all day.

I just headshot the pilot of a helicopter from across the map, causing it to fly into the side of a building, killing all the passengers.

I love this game.

For those of you who have yet to pick it up (aka all of you), it's a perfect time to buy it as it's Amazon's deal of the day:

PC - $36.99, 360/PS3 - $46.99
