3rd person + motion controls, meh. The current one is even awful apart from the 3rd person aspect.

 

Agreed about the current SOCOM. I couldn't be more disappointed. I LOVED SOCOM 1-3 though... I was playing SOCOM:Combined Assault up to the day I got my PS3.

I hate third person. Well I hate it because I suck at it.

 

Beta starts Mon., so I'm sure I'll give it a spin then, but my god that +XP notification is obtrusive. It spans the entire length of the screen.

Let us know what you think... I wouldn't be buying MoH for MP, but if it's good, that's a plus.

 

If you were to take BC2, remove almost all of the vehicles, and add killstreaks; you would have MOH. Despite already being patched, the beta is still quite buggy (ex. a one second delay when being killed before you actually die). We'll see how it goes.

The one thing I do like is the killstreaks. Instead of needing to get x number of kills for a bonus, you need x number of points. So you can theoretically achieve a killstreak by only making assists or get it faster by killing with headshots. Also, there are defensive killstreaks (ex. counter-UAV) that you earn by defending objectives and things of that nature.

Btw, we need to play some RDR online now that the co-op DLC is out (and free). Did you beat it yet?

 

I haven't been home enough to finish. I'm about 60% done. I've been posse'd up in multiplayer raising hell, but haven't played co-op yet. It's such a great game. I can't wait for MoH, even if it's only for the single player game.
